Dear Youth Group Members,
Welcome to the 2007/08 Congregation Emanu-El Youth Group. For many of you, this is your first year in the Youth Group. Last year we ran our Annual Car Wash in May, trips Spamalot and Wicked, the annual Purim Carnival, more community service events than ever, and the Temple’s first outdoor carnival ever—the School’s Out! Carnival—which was a smash hit with over 250 attendees. We already have several ideas in the works, including tickets for two Broadway shows, two scheduled Midnight Runs, and another end-of-year carnival. We are also excited to continue our partnership with The Friendship Circle.
We are pleased that you are in our Youth Group and we need your help to make it stronger. All members are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings, which normally occur (with the exception of our opening meeting) on Monday evenings at 6:30. We look forward to creating new activities with your input. THE FIRST YOUTH GROUP MEETING WILL BE HELD SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 AT 1:00 PM. PIZZA WILL BE SERVED (PLEASE RSVP VIA EMAIL).
Additionally, every year, a group of dedicated students are asked to be on the Youth Group Board, the guiding force of the Youth Group and liaisons for their grades. The 2007/08 members are:
