Hi everyone--
Welcome back. After a much needed Thanksgiving break, we're ready to roll again. Over the last month, we have run an extremely successful trip to Legally Blonde in NYC with almost 25 people in attendance. We have also run our annual Arts & Crafts booth at Gilda's Club Noogiefest and, once again, we had a great afternoon.
Our next meeting is on Monday, December 17 @ 6:30 pm in the downstairs classrooms. All members are invited, so please join us (Kindly RSVP via email for pizza.) To clarify, pizza is only available to those who attend the meetings, for this is not a MNP Pizza Night.

1) We are pleased to announce that it's almost time to begin planning for the YOUTH GROUP CARNIVAL this coming May. At the December 2 meeting, we will begin to lay out new goals and plan a bigger, better carnival than last year! Please email any suggestions to emanuel.youth.group@gmail.com or bring them to the meeting.
2) We are pleased to announce the launch of our FACEBOOK GROUP, yet another way to keep connected to the Youth Group. Checking email, especially for students does not happen very often, so having a Facebook group allows the Board to message newsletters strait to your Facebook Inbox. 3) If you haven't already, please take a moment and read the 2006/07 YEAR IN REVIEW on our website.
4) The YOUTH GROUP BULLETIN BOARD is located across from Rabbi Wolk's office, the board provides new information about our programs and forms for events that we take part in. Also check out our WEBSITE. Find an interactive calendar of events, archives of all monthly Newsletters and occasional Updates. 1) Two weeks ago, a Youth Group Update was emailed in regard to an urgent need for FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE volunteers. The call went out and a number of individuals and families responded to help. Sincere thanks to those who have, and will be offering their time with the Friendship Circle.
If you are not yet a volunteer and are interested in spending play-time with a Special-Needs child on an ongoing basis, The Friendship Circle will be a great opportunity for you. Call Rachel Butman at 914-645-9419 or Jane Dubro at 914-637-8801 for more information.
2) The first of three MIDNIGHT RUNS are fast approaching! The first Run is on December 15 and Youth Group members grades 8 and up are invited to participate. Please visit our website for a list of clothes and foods that we need donated! Parent drivers are also needed! Please sign up with Jane Dubro at 914-637-8801 or emanuel.youth.group@gmail.com. Spots fill fast, so sign up soon!
3) Beginning this year, the our temple will begin a GREEN initiative. Playing our part, the Youth Group will, once a month, collect and recycle bottles and cans accumulated at the temple. If you are interested in helping with this new program, please send us an email.
