Hello everyone--
Welcome to the Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester Youth Group Email
Newsletters. Thank you for signing up to receive the newsletters, as a
member of the Youth Group. All 7th through 12th graders at the Temple
are members. We held our first meeting on Sunday, September 16 and had
a great turnout. Our next meeting is on Monday, October 15 @ 6:30 pm.
All members are invited, so please join us (RSVP is not necessary.)

<==EVENTS & NOTES==>
1) The Youth Group trip to see LEGALLY BLONDE will be
happening on Sunday, October 28. Tickets are still available, so please
email emanuel.youth.group@gmail.com or call Jane Dubro at 914-637-8801
if you are interested. Tickets are $60/person, and checks can be mailed
to the Jo-Ann at the Temple. The flyer is available on our website.
Friends are welcome!
2) At our September meeting, we discussed many NEW ACTIVITIES
and planned for our upcoming events, as far away as the School's Out!
Carnival on May 18 (Save the date!). Minutes from the 9/14/07 meeting
are on our website. If you have any ideas for new programming, please
don't hesitate to email us.
3) If you haven't already, please take a moment and read the 2006/07 YEAR IN REVIEW here.
4) The YOUTH GROUP BULLETIN BOARD is located across from
Rabbi Wolk's office, the board provides new information about our
programs and forms for events that we take part in. Also check out our
WEBSITE. Find an interactive calendar of events, archives of all
monthly Newsletters and occasional Updates. New to the website this
year is Photo Albums, the File Cabinet, and Minutes archive.

1) On Sunday, October 21, the Youth Group will send a delegation of participants to the MAKING STRIDES FOR BREAST CANCER WALK at
Manhattanville College. If you are interested in walking for a good
cause, please email emanuel.youth.group@gmail.com or call Jane Dubro at
914-637-8801.
2) Again this year, the Youth Group is pleased to continue our partnership with the FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE.
Are you interested in spending play-time with a Special-Needs child on
an ongoing basis? The Friendship Circle pairs you and a friend with a
child to meet very other week for one hour of play. This is a social
mentoring program and is a very rewarding experience! Call Rachel

information.
3) This year, the Youth Group will again run an Arts & Crafts booth at Gilda's Club's NOOGIEFEST
on the evening of Monday, October 29. If you would like to voulenteer
some time with the children at this event, please email
emanuel.youth.group@gmail.com or call Jane Dubro at 914-637-8801.
4) Beginning this year, the our temple will begin a GREEN
initiative. Playing our part, the Youth Group will, once a month,
collect and recycle bottles and cans accumulated at the temple. If you
are interested in helping with this new program, please send us an
email.
